Sold my car and turned out the draft I received was fake. Went through usually procedures then called insurance company and they told me it not covered as I accepted a bad check. Don't know what to do next. Has any one a similar experience.

That's a complete stones, what car is it, it might be worth posting over in the motors forum and get everyone to keep a look out for it.

If you have Facebook it might be worth posting up a status and pictures giving details and asking your friends etc to share it - The same thing happened a friend of a friend, he was paid with a dodgy draft and from what I can remember the car was sold on again very shortly aftereards. I heard a few weeks ago that he got his car back but the person who purchased after that was down about E14,000. I know its a long shot, but the more people that know about it the better chance of the car being spotted. Whatever you decide, I hope you get it back.
