Hi, does anyone know where in Dublin or anywhere in Ireland i can get 'reeded glass'. Its a textured glass sometimes called 'ribbed' glass. This 'obscure' glass is often used on kitchen cabinet doors, hall way doors and bathroom windows. The texture is like a vertical pattern. A few places in Ireland sell different types of obscure glass but not the reeded pattern. I think the correct name for this glass is 'Pilkington English Reeded glass'. I think it was used a lot in the 40's and 50's and may not be manufactured any more except for pre made kitchen cabinet doors like you get in B&Q.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Hi, give <snip> call today and they still do reed glass..great. It seems quite hard to get now a days, a few places have a modern reed glass which i don't like as much.
So thanks for that l am really pleased that l can get it now.

I've been looking for this too. The name of the supplier has been removed. Can you private message me the name of the company that still does reeded glass. Thanks.
