Android tv device

    Can I stream from an iPhone to an android tv device plugged into a tv or does it have to be an Apple TV? I know a lot of the android tv devices come preloaded with Netflix, you tube etc but would I be able to stream something from eg rte player or something similar running on my iphone to the tv using one of these devices. If so what devices would be recommended?

    You wouldn't need to stream anything like that to an Android TV Box, you can install any of the players on the device itself. Anything you can get for an iphone, you can get something similar for Android and dare I say a whole lot more as these Android devices aren't locked down. As regards streaming, the Apple products are not compatible with Android devices off the shelf, I'm sure there's ways of making them work but you probably won't want or need to.

    Are you thinking of chromecast? There is an iphone app that will cast to a chromecast dongle attached to your tv. Netflix is one app, and your iphone acts as a remote.

    More and more apps are being released to support chromecast.
