Has anybody come across anybody growing borage in Ireland? I believe it's grown as an oil seed crop and sometimes as animal feed.

I keep bees and I believe it can produce a good honey crop.

It's grown commercially in some countries, probably more continental though. I've never seen or heard of it happen in Ireland. I have heard of it in the UK.

It yields in about July/August as far as I know so it would fit very nicely in to the beekeeping season when the colonies are strong and able to forage best.
