I'm in Citywest hotel once a month overnight and I have ran the golf course there in the morning, but to be honest it's a bit boring - better than the gym and the path though!

Any nice runs within a few minutes drive of the area for a short off road run (4 or 5 miles) ?

    thanks in advance.

Corkagh Park is not too far from there - 5 minutes drive or so, that could be the place for you.

You'd be to Ticknock, Hellfire, Masseys, etc. in ~20 minutes. See here. No shortage of good routes around there.

An alternative would be Kippure, park near the estate and run to the summit.

You're just down the road from Slade Valley. I haven't been there in years but I used to go up there fairly often on my bike but it might not have changed too much,

Drove to the Dublin Mountains via Tallaght onto Oldbawn. Hell Fire CLub car park was closed so drove up the road another mile or so to a carpark and managed to find my way onto the Dublin Way.

Nice run, only did a couple of miles as I was running late.

You can also head close to the start of the Dublin Mountain way and run by the reservoir. Nice scenic run and it's close enough to city west, about 10 mins close than the Hellfire.

I think you can park at Kiltipper care centre. There's a cafe there too.
