    Hi all,

I was getting rid of my garden shed over the weekend and when I lifted up the base I was greeted with about a half dozen of these little beauties just hanging out.

Its hard to see perspective from my photo but they are quiet big specimens.

I thought they were Red Admirals at first glance but did some research and found them to be Peacock Butterflies.

Website says they are very common in Ireland but it don't think I've ever come across them.

    Just thought I'd share.

Yes, peacocks alright. They hibernated under the shed. Its slightly early for them to emerge. Can you leave the board somewhere dry and sheltered for another few weeks?

Yep - I'll try to sort something out for them.

    Thanks for the info
