Ok from 6am to midnight what would your schedule be? You've an unlimited amount of money to spend! All the DJ's have to be in the Irish radio industry
    Mine would be the following.

    8am - 11am -- Anton Savage
    11am - 2pm -- Ray Foley
    2pm - 4pm -- Tony Fenton
    4pm - 6pm -- Nobby & Jim Jim
6pm - 10pm -- Second Captains with Eoin McDevitt etc
    10pm - 12am -- Adrian Kennedy

Great thread idea, although I'm a bit past the stage for listening to 'DJs'...

    6am - 9am -- Ivan Yates & Anton Savage
    9am - 12pm -- Pat Kenny
12pm - 2pm -- Sean O'Rourke & Claire Byrne (gotta get the token bird in there somewhere!)
    2pm - 4pm -- Conall O'Morain & Adrian Weckler (a business & tech-focused show, bit niche I know but hey whose fantasy is this?)
    4pm - 6.30 pm -- Matt Cooper
6.30pm - 9.30pm -- Second Captains with Eoin McDevitt etc
9.30pm - 12am --Dave Fanning (doing his weekend magazine show thing)

I'd love to hear Tony Fenton present a Matt Cooper style show purely for the comedy value.

I wish Pat James was on every day a presenter who actually is a music fan and not a robot, he also a quite diverse taste in different genres which help the ears as well.

Oh one of these days they will cop on at Nova !!!

It is too hard for my brain to think of times, but I could give you some names and when they would be on approx.! This list is liable to change on a weekly basis - it is a fantasy lineup after all!

    Weekday Breakfast - Sinister Pete

Weekday Mid-morning - Pat Courtenay or Greg Gaughren (at work anyway!)

Weekday Lunchtime - Simon Maher - half-talkshow, half cool music

Weekday drivetime - The Last Word - Matt Cooper with Ivan Yates or Shane Coleman

Weekday early evening - Pat James

Weekday late evening (9pm-10pm) - Specialist music shows such as Lite Jazz with Neil O'Shea, reggae with John Public, '80s Rock with Dee Woods/Ernie Gallagher

Weekday Nights - John Caddell with Bedrock, including "The Trip to Kip"

    Weekday Late Nights (1am - 3am) - Mark Cagney - album tracking

Weekday Overnights - Automated album tracks

Saturday Breakfast - Mark Manning playing golden oldies (like Premier FM days)

Saturday Mid-Morning - Tom Hardy - love his enunciation

Saturday Afternoons - Richie McCormack and Richie Ryan

Saturday Early Evenings - Jack Hyland

Saturday Late Evenings - New Wave/Punk with John Kenny

Saturday Night - Gary Matthews with Studio 54 - recreating disco scene from 1970s

Saturday Early Hours - Best of "Old Skool" dance from the '90s with Mark Kavanagh/Mr. Spring/Jason Dee/Andy Preston --- recreating Sunset FM/Rhythm FM/Hot 107/ Club FM - the hypnotic more interesting dance music

Sunday Breakfast - Mark Manning playing golden oldies (like Premier FM days)

Sunday 9am -10am - The Anorak Hour with Ger Rowe

Sunday Mid-morning - Shane Coleman and Anton Savage - current affairs

Sunday Lunchtime - Cream of Irish Rock with Paul Power

Sunday Afternooon - Matt Dempsey - playing rock just like the old days on Capitol Radio

Sunday Early Evenings - Random Access (mainly indie request show) with Steve Conway - love his voice

You have wayyyy too much time on your hands........didnt mis-read the post...Irish DJ's are mostly crap...and to include "talk radio" in a DJ poll is just nonsense, I only want to listen to music, not interested in politics, weather, who's shagging who etc....:)

Retro I may be but here goes...

5-7AM. Maxi. Early morning radio was made for her and her for it.
7-9AM. Pat Courtney. If Bob Gallico was here he'd be a shoe in.
9-10AM Gay Byrne. John Murray needs to take notes.
10-12:45PM Aidan Cooney. One of the few who gets what light current affairs shows are truly about.
12:45-2PM Sean O'Rourke, Aine Lawlor and Gavin Duffy. Loads of time to hammer politicians on the foul ups of the day.
2PM-4:30PM Andy Preston. Free playlist for the best daytime DJ in the country.
4:30-7PM George Hook. Controversial call but this guy is not afraid to ask stupid questions and call a spade when it needs to be done; something few other talk hosts are willing to do.
7-8PM Sports. Rotating between the likes of Daragh Moloney, Roy Willoughby, Jimmy McGee, Joanne Cantwell and Yvonne Judge.
8-10PM John Creedon. Sticking to the far left of easy listening and right of alternative/world music as ever.
10-11PM Audrey Carville with Late Debate. A great wrap up news/current affairs show.
11-2AM Late Date. Steve and Lilian as ever.

Nightime to be leaning towards live world/alternative music zone for the likes of Laura Lee Conboy, Donal Dineen, Pat James, John Kelly etc. Slightly off time but the longer and later show time allows for space and musical freedom while online playback and archiving gives listeners a chance to hear them at their pleasure.

Await a keyboard battering any time now :)

I mostly listen to the radio for the bants, as you'll see by my choices.

    6-10am: Ray Foley & JP
    10-1pm: Barry Dunne
1-4pm: Ed Smith/Alison Curtis (maybe they could do the show every other day or something).
    4-7pm: Dermot & Dave
    7-10pm: Paul McLoone
10-1am: Chris Greene & Ciara King

Music would be a mixture of pretty much everything you can think of, from chart and cheesy 80s/90s/00s stuff to obscure folk/electronica/alternative.
