"Emissions Garage" -vw passat

    A yellow light popped up on dash today and "emissions garage " also came up, any idea what kind of fault this would be? Exhaust or engine fault? Cheers!

    Petrol or Diesel? Which engine?

    Get it scanned to see what the fault code(s) are.

    Probably air Intake flap. Had to replace one few months back on 06 2.0tdi

    It's a 06 1.9 tdi 105bhp, based in limerick

    Found out it's a blocked up EGR, mechanic did put some spray on but light came up again the following day, just did clutch in car so dont have money to do it now, is it safe to drive with this light on?

    Hi Guys, i got same error message (air intake manifold flap) machanic cleared error but kept coming back up. it is driving perfectly. got lots done to car are really dont have money to fix plus the car has been sitting idle for last 3 years just by monthly driving as i work abroad so not using at moment. does this need new part or would it free itself after awhile just came up guess it stuck as not regularly driving
