Painting Help...

    I'm painting some interior wood (skirting which was previously varnished).
    My plan was:
    1 x coat bin primer (shellec-based)
    1 or 2 x coats Dulux undercoat (water based)
    1 (maybe 2) Colourtrend satin wood

    But... I thought the tin of undercoat I had was water-based. Turns out it wasn't - its oil based. I've only applied one coat of it.

    Question now is how do I proceed. I don't think I can do another coat of the oil based undercoat and then put the water based Colourtrend satinwood on top??

    The tin of colourtrend I bought is still unopened - maybe the shop will change it for an oil based...

    Let the undercoat dry, lightly sand and apply 2 coats of the waterbased satinwood. No harm done, only longer for u/c to dry. No need for 2nd u/c either.

    As Joe said, plus stick with Colourtrend as they don't make oil based now. There waterbased is very good.
