Hi I'm 35, just looking at the youth of today, they seem to wear far more make up, seem far more dressed up than I or most of my peers were in our teens or early 20's. Maybe it was just where I was, a teacher training college, a nunnery, maybe the people there were not the type to really dress elaborately, but things have changed I think.

I'm not saying people should dress down, or that the past was better, I love to dress well, just an observation. Anyone else notice this too ? :)

Would agree with you but I think its the fact that clothes and make up are so accessible and inexpensive.
If you take the likes of boohoo, missguided for clothes and essence and catrice for makeup, which are pretty cheap and usually have the latest trends, and can be bought online or purchased in the local supermarket, teenagers will spend whatever bit of money they have on keeping up with the jones'.
