Rent allowance question

Hoping someone can advise me for a friend.

Situation is she's on job seekers allowance and renting a room for €50 a week. As far as I know she'd be entitled to rent allowance, but I could be wrong?

If she is entitled to it, what would she need from the landlord she's renting the room from, she has a rent book. She's also in the process of trying to get on the local authority housing list.

Depending on the area she lives she needs to contact either her CWO or the centralized rents unit for that area and get a form for applying for rent allowance, the landlord needs to sign certain parts of this form and then she needs to return it with the documentation on the checklist (usually a lease/rent book, proof of address, proof of income and I.D. )

Thanks January, she lives in Meath, so I'll get her to check if it's the CWO or the centralised section, she did say the CWO has moved to a different place recently so not sure. She has a rent book but not a lease as it's only a room she's renting.
