Audi a4 B8 engine light

    Hi all

    Driving an 09 2.0tdi b8 a4

    Popped to shop this morning came out started car again engine light has come on
    Checked the oil during week thats grand only thing i noticed was the coolant g12 was near minimum mark that has just dipped below the mark now

    Car is driving fine not rough on idle has full power etc bit confused i dont have an obd reader so cant read fault must order one

    How can i top the level up??Never had to do it before Complete novice when it comes to engines in a car

    Im in the country so completely stuffed as i need the car for tomorrow:eek:

    Small bit away from us, (we're based in Kildare). Most independent garages now will have suitable diagnostic software to check out that light. Ask around the Boards to find a reputable one in your area that wont sting you. Best of luck.

    What warning light is it? Is it the emissions control light by any chance?

    A generic code reader should be able to read OBD codes on that once it puts the engine management light on. There could be any number of things that can cause the light to come on so best get it read before guessing what's wrong :)
