    Hello there,

Is anyone here knows what could be the U-value of the PU foam ( the 750ml canister ones)?

    Thanks ;)

    U values depends on thickness.

What you need to Find out is the thermal conductivity .

Ok for the thermal conductivity, but in SI / metric system, please ! :D

From my research is product dependent.

What product are you looking at.

I'm seeing R values in the range of 2-4 per inch.

I'm looking at the common PU expanding foam that you find in aerosol, for gun.
    Soudal/Everbuild/Evo Stick...etc...

It's just to have an idea about their thermal efficiency, compare to EPS or rigid PU insulation, for ex.

Now, it might depend of the brand of course, some expanding foam has smaller "bubbles" of air than others, they are less dense than others, but I don't find any precise value about the thermal efficiency with the manufacturers.

    ^^^This.

And I believe that if you cut the cured skin off its even lower.

We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

    I don't get the " ^^^This. "
    Any meaning ?

Yes, I suppose cutting the foam alters the efficiency, at the surface . The top "bubbles" don't trap air anymore .
