Question about redundacy

    Hi,

So my company has 2 sites in Ireland, let's call them site A, and site B. As it stands, I am a permanent employee at site A, but am currently working under contract at site B, the contract generally getting extended by 6 months, every 6 months (though not guaranteed).

We were told recently that site A is going to be closing next year, and redundancy will be paid to all the employees of site A. If it turns out that by the time site A closes, I am still working at site B under temporary contract, will I be entitled to any redundancy?

I haven't been able to get a hold of HR yet to get their take on it, just wondering if there is any specific rules relating to this sort of situation, as I will be reverting back to a contract worker after being permanent with the company for a few years if I'm still temporary at site B at the time A closes.

    Clear as mud eh? Thanks!
