I am a 30 year old guy with no clue in how to buy good clothes etc.

I looked online to see if there are any "fashion consultants" that could help me. I came across this:

    http://www.positiveimage.ie/positiveimage/Main/1024FullImageForMen.htm

But jesus, almost 300 euro for just 2.5 hours? That seems insane to me!

Anybody know somewhere more reasonably priced that could be good for me?

All the big department stores (Arnotts, BTs, Debenhams) offer free personal shoppers just think you have to book in advance!

Yeah those dept store personal shoppers are the business.

OP, it should be relatively straightforward enough for you to do this without having to spend a penny or put your style in the hands of some personal shopper in Brown Thomas who'll make you buy a Paul Smith suit when you don't need a Paul Smith suit.

Between this forum, the internet, and men's magazines, you should have all the resources you need to build a decent wardrobe. You just need money, an open mind, and the willingness to put in the effort, make some mistakes along the way, and eventually you'll figure it out.

So, what's the problem? You say you don't know how to "buy good clothes" etc. Maybe you can start by telling us what clothes you currently wear and where you shop, and why you think you don't have a clue. And your age / build etc. You'll be surprised by the amount of people who'll come forward with advice and help etc. I for one am happy to help.

Next time you're shopping, it would also be no harm to bring a mate along whose style you admire and opinion you trust. A female friend or sibling can be helpful too.

I'm also wary of commission based assistants.

I'm also wary of first time posters who post up a direct link to a paid service

Yes, and haven't posted anything since!

Unless he has another account and created this one especially as he was too embarrassed... Yeah.
