Nest in fascia board

There's a hole in my fascia board right over my bedroom window.
Last weekend a bird started building a nest inside the hole.
He starts every morning before it gets bright.

So yesterday I boarded up the hole.
Before I did this I checked to see if there was any birds still inside.
I couldn't see a nest and I couldn't hear any noise or squawking so I think there is nothing inside.

This morning the bird is back and he has a twig in his beak and he is trying to get in where I boarded up.
He's at it now around 4 hours and he seems to me like he's flustered.

Can someone tell me if there's a chance there may be birds still inside or eggs even.
I'll unblock the hole if there's a chance of something being trapped inside.

I don't know what type of bird it is but here's 2 bad pics

The bird is still trying to build so you can rest assured it's too early for any eggs or chicks. I have seen this many times. The bird will try to access the site for perhaps a couple of days but will move on to a new site. No harm done!

    Good to know!
Can you make what type of bird it is?

I'm afraid my eyes are not what they were but holes in facia are a favourite with Starlings.
