Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my stock Felt wheels to something a little bit more glam for the summer. I'm running a shimano 10 speed groupset. I'm in the market for anything between 250 and 500 euros - once the wheels are running true, or can be trued, I'm happy. I'm not interested in Chinese built wheels.

    many thanks in advance

I just got rid of the wheels that came with my Felt and upgraded to Mavic Kysrium Elite S and the difference is very noticeable.
Afaik you can get them for €500 with tubes and tyres from one of the German sites.

Hi, can you send me a little more detail on them please. I'd be interested to know the year, the use of the wheels (racing or otherwise), and your build as well. The usual questions, sorry! pictures would be great as well

    Much obliged

Tubs or Clinchers are fine incidentally. Preferably I'm looking at a decent set of old carbon wheels that someone is offloading for their own upgrade. If there is a set with tubs being offered, I have the following for sale also

Dura Ace 10 speed chaiin - new

Dura Ace 10 speed cassette - used

    2 x Vittoria Pro Corsa Evo 11 - new

Carbones SL. 2010. Bit of racing, mostly training, only ever in summer. Never used them much as they were on my road bike & most of my miles were on TT bike.
I had pictures on a previous post but unfortunately deleted them off my PC. Will get more photos on Monday

    Hi LCD, thanks

There was a poster selling the same Cosmic Carbone SL 2010 wheels with 2000kms back in September 2011 for €525. Just based on depreciation rates alone from 2011 to 2014, i'd be expecting to pay around half that 525/2 = €262.50. I only need the wheels and not the tyres as I have the Pro Evos to put on spanking new. Is this something you'd be interested in negotiating ?

    here was that thread

    Hi LCD and taxuser
I don't want to hijack taxusers thread, but if you guys can't come to a deal I might be interested in those wheels if they're in good nick. I'd have to change them to Campag freehub that's all. I'll keep an eye on the thread but let me know if you guys aren't dealing.
    Cheers

    true.

what tyres are they, are they new and what's the price without the them ? assume the cassette isn't included ?

    Schwalbe one. Nothing spectacular.
Still on my new bike and it is still in bike shop.
Need cassette for my other wheels as it is 11 speed and I don't have any of them.
    €290 without tyres

sorry, i'd rather take my chance with the guarantee and wiggle for the tenner extra. it wouldn't make sense unless there was a serious drop off. the wheels are superfluous to your needs so (just imo) their face value is their cost price (as part of the new bike) , not the comparable wiggle's selling price.

    thanks anyway
