Iv'e been suffering with a tight neck for the last 3 years. The crack and click are when i straighten and tilt my head to the left. It's become a habit now and it results in a crack or click.

    Appreciate some feedback.

Capt'n Midnight told me to **** off so i came here.

I'd never had a problem that lasted more than a couple of days, but a year or two ago I woke up with what I thought was just another sore neck from having slept funny, except it didn't go away after a few days. I tried everything; massaging it, putting deep heat on it, different pillows, arm rests at my desk at work, took up Pilates and yoga. Some things helped, but it didn't go away. It was driving me insane.

I finally found the source of the problem over a year later. I'd set up my work computer with two monitors and I guess I was twisting my neck ever-so-slightly all day every day. Within a day or two of getting rid of the second monitor, the pain went away, completely.

Obviously that's unlikely to be your situation, but pay careful attention to anything in your life that might have changed around the time the problem started.

Good luck, though. It's a right pain in the... erm, you know what I mean.
