Hi we are looking at buying a house approx 30 years old which is a little smaller than we would like. The house is based in an area where its challenging to get planning on a site BUT if we buy the house will it be easy to get planning to ie double the house as there is already a house that can be lived in on the site. The extension would be to the side and behind the house (from road). we will be speaking with council planner in next few days buy expect they will have lots of questions and we don't own house so we may be unable to answer.

thanks for any thoughts / idea's

You will get no more from your meeting with the planners than what you put into it. Arrive without professional assistance then expect a fruitless encounter.
