Saorview & Freeview frequency allocations in Ireland (as of March 2014)

I remember someone here posted a detailed copy of the Comreg & Ofcom agreement on the replanning of frequency agreements between the Irish Republic and the UK which was agreed upon by the two parties in June 2012. It involved clearing all previous allocations agreed at the Geneva 2006 (GE06) ITU Region 1 conference, and finding new allocations for those allocations that had to find a new home. It also dealt with the UK plan of rearranging the "600MHz band" for temporary frequencies.

Using the info in the agreement, the following is a list of allocations now in place for all main terrestrial TV broadcast sites in the UHF broadcast band across all of Ireland. As can be seen, some frequency allocations have varying directional restrictions on them (those along the east coast are especially impacted. Frequencies currently in use are underlined, though this doesn't necessarily mean that they are being used at their maximum power. Those frequencies with the higher reckoned coverage area in terms of geography are mentioned first. I'll add more details for these sites and some of the mid-powered sites like Waterford, Tonabracky, Castlebar, Strabane, Camlough, Larne etc. in the next few days/weeks when I can eek out a bit of time to compile...

Note that both the Republic of Ireland and the UK each have cleared a Single Frequency Network in their respective countries on channel 36 (598MHz) - coverage in border areas and some parts of the east coast will be impacted to minimise co-channel interference between the two countries...

Frequencies listed as supressed means that the juristiction involved has given up the frequency to use at that site, where it is redundant and to normally to allow for it to be co-ordinated elsewhere.
