Tracking a missing BMW service

    My 630i is missing a service stamp by the now closed Callanan Motor Company in Drogheda.

    Do garages generally record their service work on a shared system?
    Are service histories, e.g resets etc recorded in the car/keyfob?

    Independent garage not a chance. It is gone. No such thing as a shared system by garages
    If it was done by bmw yes it is centrally recorded. They can retrieve it for you if they are in good mood.
    Or I can retrieve it from bmw too but bmw ag charges me. Just a few quids though.

    Selling garage informed me. They (Callanan's) had done the previous 3 services on the car and I verified it by phone when buying the car. Been on my todo list for months to call up and get it stamped but looks like I've left it too late.

    Ok indepednant garage so looks like its not possible. Surprised some details aren't stored in the car. Thanks anyways for the info.

    BMW dealer network normally share info on servicing, etc but very unlikely an indy garage or non franchised dealer would be included.
