I have been having some issues with the very last tooth at the top right hand side and the gum area for about ten days now, last night while brushing the area a piece of the tooth broke off, it is about one quarter of the tooth. I have a medical card and am wondering would this qualify as an emergency and what if anything can I get done,I am hoping to avoid extraction.

It wasn't an emergency if you only asked about it 10 days after breaking it and still not an emergency if you could wait a further 4 days....

FYI though, medical card covers 2 fillings per year and as many extractions as you need. If it can be filled great but you need to see a dentist to assess that....

You should demand a refund from boards.ie

The tooth broke 4 days ago, the pain has been there for over 10 days as I said close this as I am asking in the wrong place for dental advice.

Advice, go see a dentist. Your medical card will cover fillings but if its a root canal job your out of luck in the MC. There is a sticky on the forum about medical card coverage if your interested.

Your sense of entitlement is a bit odd, maybe a gentle reminder or bump of the thread over the weekend would have gotten and answer, your an experienced boards person you know how it works, everyone is doing their best.
