George R.R. Martin suggests movie possibility

    Game of Thrones movie as a concluding chapter a possibility.
    Novelist George R.R. Martin - the man behind the books on which the hit TV series is based - says a film treatment for the hit HBO series, potentially as a concluding chapter, is on the table and being discussed.

    "It all depends on how long the main series runs," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10?"

    I definitely think we have to take everything Martin says lightly.
    Martin also said a film adaptation of his Tales of Dunk and Egg cycle, a defacto "prequel" to game of Thrones, was also being discussed.

    I don't Dunk and Egg movies would work, as they are much smaller stories, can you really have a big budget movie that is on a much smaller scale to some of the epic stuff that is in the TV series.

    George will you just write the fúckin books!!!! I was all for "giving him space, he knows what he's doing" but he's starting to take the pìss now. It's like he's trying to avoid finishing asoiaf for some reason....

    I think the only thing they could get away with making a movie out of is Robert's rebellion.

    Agreed.

    And also, I wish GRRM would get back to writing his book.

    HBO seem to do nothing but prevent him from writing his book (besides making the show of course :pac:).
