Some of the newborn lambs are developing lameness a few days after lambing. I don't know what's causing it but found a tick on the underside of one of the lambs.

Any suggestions as to what it could be?

Could be joint ill, are any of the joints swollen or hot to touch?

If it is treat them asap and they will recover fine

Don't mention ticks!! On prone ground here but usually get them later in the year. The might be more active now given the mild winter. Will keep a closer eye on stock to see if their out and about this end.

Noroclav is what I used to use or betamox. How bad is he? Vet gave me something else last year for real bad ones but I can't for the life of me remember the name

They're out, was dosing and vaccinating some of Dads ewes in a rougher place today and there were ticks in them. Little ~~~~~~'s.

Noroclav is what I would use for bad ones. I would use tylosin as a first antibiotic. I think it's sold under the trade names Tylo or Norotyl.
