So having rescanned, rte1hd has disappeared, as has rte1+1 and rte junior.
I'm pretty sure the nearest transmitter is athlone.
Built in tuner on a Panasonic something or other.

Anyone any ideas in how to relocate these channels?

No Saorview transmitter in Athlone, find the recommended transmitter for your location here - http://www.saorview.ie/get-saorview/make-the-switch/coverage-map/

Those 3 missing channels are carried on a separate frequency to the other channels since late last year. This problem is posted here regularly since then. The reason for the loss of these channels appears to be down to insufficient signal strength/quality for that frequency due to inadequate aerial installations such as indoor aerials or an outdoor aerial that needs to be realigned.

What type of aerial are you using?

Its surely not our fault that the signal strength/quality has changed and now being told that our aerials installation are inadequate makes it sound like we are to blame for installing our aerials wrongly. What worked fine has of no fault of ours been altered and now that we have to re install our aerials at our cost seems to have gone un noticed by those who broadcast these frequencies.

All we hear is re scan then when that isn't working we are told our aerials are inadequate ! Drives me crazy ! what are they going to do next is there more to come in the lines of frequencies/mux changers ?

Whomever installed the aerial is to blame .The transponder change is not the problem its merely showing up a weakness in the aerial installation that was present all along.

I dont think thats right. when the aerial was installed it was placed receiving the strongest signal i could achieve yes it was in the attic but still i had a strong signal now on the mux 2 the signal is weak. Yes i need to move the aerial outside to improve my aerials chances. The mux 2 is definitely weaker for me now.

Mux 2 is only marginally weaker and even then that's only on some transmitters so you should not be seeing that great a difference . Check your cabling and connectors as it sounds like something is attenuating MUX 2 on your set up. If there is attenuation going on then moving outside may not fix the problem.

Yiure right. Apparently it's cairns hill transmitter. It's an outdoor earlier that was put up years ago to get uk channels.
Having no probably picking up the other channels with it though and had no problem up until the rescan with the disappeared ones.

You may have to get someone in to check the aerial to ensure you're getting the best signal for both Saorview and Freeview.

Which NI transmitter is the aerial pointing at - www.ukfree.tv/maps.php?c=6

It could be similar to what happened me. I have a wideband aerial in attic for carrin hill in clara here and when i scanned for mux 2 on my ariva i thought it was terrible reception. But i never realised till just last week it was mux 2 from clermont carn which is vertical!! I seen the proper channels from the mux 2 carrin hill stored elsewhere on box and jus replaced them! Check your channel list just incase.
