    Hi dbrunson,

Thank you for contacting us on Boards.

As SEPA is in relation to Direct Debits and credit transfers, the time frame for clearing cheques has not changed. A Bank of Ireland cheque will clear within 3 working days and a domestic non-Bank of Ireland cheque will clear within 3-5 working days.

    Thanks,
    Sarah

Just as a matter of interest when are irish banks going to do away with cheques? While payment from cystomers is always welcome , cheques are pain in the ass.

    Hi dbrunson,

This is something that is often discussed. However we haven't been advised of any immediate plans to discontinue cheques. If we do receive any official information we will advise our customers via our usual channels.

    Thanks,
    Sarah
