Unsure of Phone's SIM Lock Status

    Hey all,
I'm about to buy an unlock code for a Sony Xperia M on Meteor, want to change to Three.
At the moment when I go to the SIM Lock menu, I see:

    [o]Network 5
    [x] SIM 0

On Unlock.ie it says I should be looking at the Network section and that:
If you see an X in the bracket [X] this means that lock is active
If do not see an x and you see [] this means that lock is not active

So my question is, What does an o in the Network bracket mean?
Will I be able to purchase an unlock code and use it? Or do I need to at all?
    Thanks for any help!

Put a non-Meteor SIM in it and see how the phone behaves. If it asks for a code, then it's locked.

Meteor will now give you a code, depending on the length of contract served or spend on PAYG.
