Does anyone know does the theory test include questions on how many penalty points are given for different scenarios? There's about 7 pages on them on the book, but they are in an appendix at the back , seperate to the rest of the book so I'm not sure if they need to be learned?

Get the CD/DVD and do the mock exams on that. Much, much easier than the book and far quicker too. I did 14 mock exams on the DVD and went in, did the test all in the space of a week and got it no problem. That way you will know exactly you will face and in what format.

You don't need to know the number of penalty points, just that what ever it is, is wrong. There is a free version of the full 5th edition theory test here.
