Its blatent to be honest, but hardly unusual is it? Certainly in british and Irish Group races the pacemaker makes room. Rediculous that the trainer wasnt implicated, cosgrave hardly came out of the stalls and thought 'my friend christophe needs a winner badly il tee it up for him'

Was never going to beat the winner and rode the horse out for a place. Forfeit riding fee, bit of a fine, no need for silly length ban

Agreed, this point absolutely riles me up. If they are suggesting the rider has allowed a stable mate through then the trainer has to be implicated and should be held accountable to a higher degree than the jockey.

Shocking to get a ban for that, there are way worse things happening every day that are far worse than that and don't get any ban.

He wasn't there as a pacemaker,he was told to ride the horse however he wanted.trainer didn't give riding instructions to him contrary to what people think.still ran a best place in a G1 for anerobio and wasn't ever going to beat vercingetorix
