Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey guys,

I plan to follow this guide to do a region mod on my MD2:
    http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/sega/md2switches.htm

I really like the look of the switches in that guide but every switch so far that I find is of the long silver pole variety.

Anybody have a link for the type seen in the video? It'd look much cleaner on the console to me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Radionics - http://radionics.rs-online.com/web/p/slide-switches/7182275/

Just make sure the switch configuration is correct, you want on-off-on if possible

Grand so. Hopefully everything goes well and if not... well... I'll be in the market for a new MD2 soon :P

Any idea how switching the region like this will affect the Mega CD that is leeching off of it at the minute?

The NMega CD has its own region, so making your MD2 NTSC/60Hz won't allow your Mega CD to play import games...that has to be modded separately. One really cool thing though, is the Everdrive if you have one can be used to make the Mega CD region free by loading bios images from it

I have been eyeing up the purchase of an everdrive alright.

I mainly want to do this to push the MD2 to 60hz as I've gotten too used to that speed of games like Sonic 2 via the spoils of emulation. :-)

We really didn't know how bad we had it back in the day.
