Hi there! I'm starting the MSW n September, I was just wondering if any previous students have any info on the schedule/timetable or anything general. Also, do we need to buy books? Thanks

Hi, congratulations on being accepted! The timetable is 9-5 Monday - Thursday with Friday off as a study day. They may ask you to come in on a Friday if a lecturer misses a class and needs to make it up. When you go on placement in February you will be expected to work agency hours, these are normally 9 to five too but can vary. Theres a half day study leave per week, most students save this up and take a full day a fortnight.

You're not required to buy books but you might find over the semester there are one or two you find particularly useful and want to buy. Sometimes they can be hard to get coming up to exams or essays and you might want to buy one then. They're not expensive generally.

If you've any other questions feel free to pm me.
