Waterford Stanley - Oisin Stove issue

    Hi
I have a small, non-boiler, Waterford Stanley Stove ( Oisin ) - installed about 3 months or so.
Lately I've noticed that the draught opener at the front is not drawing up the fire when it is fully wound open, in fact it nearly puts the fire out unless the stove is fully fired up. The draught operates ok when the stove door is just left slightly open though.

I'm wondering if there's something blocking the fire draught system?

    Has anyone any ideas please?

    Thank you

Don't call Stanley as all they'll do is void your warranty.

That's a bit unfair, in my opinion.
If your stove was installed as per their instructions & meeting the current building regs, you would of course have a warranty.
I do warranty work for a leading oil boiler manufacturer & a couple of years ago, between UK & Ireland, it cost them €300k on warranty work that was due to installer error.

Might be a problem with down draft from your chimney. There are motorised cowls you can get to rectify this. They will increase the draft and help the draw of the fire.

Is the rust on the outside? The internal will have a type of rust on it.

I also have a Stanley Oisin. Last night a piece fell off the back. It had been rusted through. I can't understand why this should have happened as we have a fire on every night. When it was cooled this morning I put my hand to the back and it felt very rusted. Does anyone else have the same problem?

    Hi Jpg49
Your issue is totally different than mine and I would prefer if you could request information about your problem as a separate post as mine will get lost along the way if others jump on board with theirs too - so if you can - please repost yours.
    Thank you

Apologies to Conology and Roberxxx. I have moved my query to "Rust on Stanley Oisin"
