Saorview and FreeView not working anymore

Hoping somebody can help. I have the attached aerials connected to a TV that is Saorview & Freeview enabled in my mobile home in Kilmuckridge, Wexford. Up until Mid September last year I was able to receive all Free to air Irish and UK Channels. When I returned to the mobile this weekend I have no signal at all. I was able to receive saorview channels using an internal aerial. I don't think the aerial has moved at all. I am wondering if the type or aerial I have and worked all last summer is somehow not the correct aerial now.

Barring any damage or deterioration, those aerials won't work any better or worse than they did last summer.

The bottom one is no use for tv since Oct. 2012, would have been for RTE analogue. Presumably the UHF aerial on top is pointing towards Wales & this should still work as well as it ever did.

Presumably the UHF aerial is not a Group B.

If you were picking up everything previously its possibly a wideband.

Recan Ch 23 and 26 on your TV/box.

These are the Mt Leinster frquencies.

Thanks for your replies. I have no clue if it is a group B or not. I am not using a box jus the automatic tuner on the TV. I tried selecting UK and Ireland but no luck. Are you saying place tv on Ch23 or 26 and do a manual scan?

If the auto scan didn't find any channels, I don't see how the manual scan will. It will probably bring up a signal strength/quality display though.

Assuming the VHF aerial is pointed at Mt. Leinster, the UHF aerial is pointed the opposite direction, so any Saorview signal will be well down on what you'd get with the right aerial pointing the right direction.

As what was said to you in post2 the Bottom Aerial in that Picture is of no use since Oct 2012.

The Mast Head amp or Combiner Box " Its hard to tell which it is" that is half way up that pole could have corrosion in it.
check along the cable from the box on the pole to the entry point going into the van to see was the cable joined, if so it could be either pulled apart or water damaged.
Also if you have 1 of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/aerial-power-supply at the back of the TV, It too could be knackered.

Thanks for all the advice, it is really appreciated as can't go another weekend without TV. I did trace the cable from the pole all the way into the mobile and all looks good. I also tried my booster box in a friends mobile and it works fine. I changed the connection going into the booster box. I will take the mast head amp/combi box apart next time I am down to see if their is corrosion.
I am a little bit confused to what type of aerial is at the top of the pole. Is it a UHF or VHF aerial as post from Rick Hall mentions both UHF and VHF and direction each is facing.

The top Aerial is either a Wosley or a Blake contract wideband aerial UHF that was/is used along the coast to receive the overspill of UK channels from Wales. Its more than likely that the Saorview you are receiving is been picked up from the back of that Aerial.
