I see vistakon limerick are looking to recruit a few engineers these times

what are conditions like to work there these days, if the stories Ive heard are to be believed they were awful, shouted at by people when things weren't done in impossible timelines........

am led to believe that has changed now.......anyone have first hand experience

emails are supposed to be policed can't send more than X amount of external emails a day

I've heard that they fired a whole assembly line or team of workers when they ****ed up a batch!! Could be a rumour just saying what I heard!

Commissioned a couple of autoclaves last year. The atmosphere is toxic.

All out for themselves, from management to operators.

That said, in this climate if they are paying your mortgage, keep your head down, do your bit, don't get involved in politics, and take their cash.

Was that in Ethicon (new J&J start up down the road from Vistakon), atmosphere is probably the same in both places anyway, Vistakon management are the foundations of ethicon I think, don't think Vistakon have autoclaves

sounds like atmosphere was worse in the place anyway than in most other places you have been ?

vistakon always had a huge turnover of staff, mostly the line operators, this was mostly due to shift work and working arrangements, a whole month of night shifts for instance usually ended people working there.

the engineers etc are treated much better as their input is needed, but they still seem to get through enough IT and engineers to beat most places of similar size. they are however a half decent company to work for, as said above if you ignore the politics and get on with your work its not such a bad place to work.
