Buying a second hand mobile home

    Hi All,

I'm new to this forum so I hope this is in the right place.

My Dad owns a mobile home on a site in Donegal. He has decided he wants to sell it and has offered it to me for €5000.

This mobile home itself is really old - not sure of its year but it's well over 22 years old anyway (if not more). It's in decent condition but it would probably need to be upgraded in the next 3-4 years.

I'm just trying to figure out whether it's worth buying at this price as I've no experience in buying a mobile home.

The €5000 covers this years site fees and it's €1500 per year site fees after that.

    Thanks for any advice!

Never buy anything off a relation.

If anything goes wrong it just leads to arguments

Depends on the site I suppose but if you'll end up replacing it it might make sense to buy a better one now prices will please god be higher in 4 years time.
