    Yes. Terrible. Parades should not have commercial stuff like that.

    Also big fail to RTE for showing caption on screen for Reserve Defence Forces (RDF) as Royal Defence Forces. How stupid is that.

    I was wondering about that.. I know relations with England are now better than they once were, but I didnt think they were THAT good.

    The parade is turning into a american marching band march that the patricks day parade , was very disappointed with this years one although the sun and the blue statue were fantastic

    There are American marching bands every year and they represent the Irish diaspora.
    I personally like the energy and look they bring.
    I always find the parade a mix of arts stuff and bands so don't see how this year is any different to other years.

    They also spend a lot of money.

    I met one of them on Saturday and he said that there were 250 in their group .... and they were only over for 4 or 5 days.
