wtd..2nd hand road bike (new to cyclng)

    Hi guys as the title says i am looking for a good road bike.i currently have a hybrid which i got wit btw scheme but have been using my brothers racer for last few wks.
    Where is the best place to get good second hand bike or would the bike shop trade in my hybrid which has very little done??
    Any advice appreciated

    You'll get more for your own selling it privately. Donedeal, adverts.ie etc for second hand bikes. Many bike shops have second hand bikes too so check them out too. What bike have you currently got and what's your budget?

    I have a gt transeo 4.0 which is a perfect bike.I should have went for a road bike when using the btw scheme but didn't think i would like cycling so much.
    My budget is around 500 which i know is quite low for a good road bike.

    You'll find plenty on adverts done deal etc.

    Plenty of people taking advantage of the bike to work scheme and then losing interest. I'd imagine that's what happened here.

    You'd probably get it for 450. There may well be better ones out there just put in a bit of time reading reviews and looking for bargains.
