    Hi
I just wanted to know the situation if we have lost or disposed off by accident the deeds of a sight that we own - as we have a potential buyer who is interested in purchasing and to our horror we think that the deeds may have been destroyed when we moved house.
any advice on the situation, time frame etc would be hugely appreciated as we are totally pulling our hair out!
    thanks

Go to the solicitor who did the original work on your purchase.

Yeah, like infosys said, the solicitor who dealt with the purchase should have a copy of the deeds, and should be able to post a copy out to you.

If it's registered land, you should also be able to download a copy of your title from the land registry for about €5.

If its registered land its no problem as the title is with the Land Registry, copies are E40. If it is unregistered the title can be reconstructed by your solicitor, it takes a little longer and will cost you more in Solicitor's Fees. Either way it is something your Solicitor has experience of and shouldn't cause difficulties with the sale of the site.
