API for Spain

Went to input the API for my folks trip to Spain on the AL website through the manage my booking section & it said - Advance Passenger Information is not required for this booking

Directly underneath it says - For passengers travelling to and/or from the following countries, you can provide your Advance Passenger Information using this facility.

• United States
• Canada
• Spain
• Portugal

Confused! Anybody know what the story is?

I think when you are checking in it will require the passport numbers at that stage.

Hi just wondering do you still have to do Advance Passenger Detail to Spain going in August with aer lingus. I know you do it with manage booking but someone told me you dont have to do APD anymore for spain.

Why take a chance? It's not like it costs any money to do it. As you said, the 'Manage Booking' webpage still says you have to do it.

DAA also says you have to do it..

Yes you must supply API for going to spain. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill it in.

Check in at the airport on the day and they will do it.
