So the season is underway at last! What did everyone think of today's race? I have to say I really enjoyed it with the unreliability really adding something that we've not seen in a long time. The strategy of drivers have to save fuel at various points was also interesting

I enjoyed it. I would describe it as interesting more than exciting but a solid 8 from me

Seven for me, nice to have an element of randomness to it again

I felt like I was watching a race from last year again....a german riding away into the sunset & dominating proceedings. Only difference was a different name & a different car.

Only exciting parts for me was Bottas climbing through the field twice.
    A four from me.

The Mercedes' speed advantage does look a bit ominous. Although at least they have two drivers who are capable of challenging each other. Even if they end up with Red Bull style levels of superiority over everybody else, neither Hamilton nor Rosberg are likely to run away with it. Hamilton's engine problems robbed us of a far more interesting race. It also would have been interesting to have seen what Massa could have achieved.

I gave it a 7. Not a classic race, but worth staying/getting up for.

Would agree with that which is why I gave it a 7.

Gave it a 6, while the driver has more to do as in braking etc, the teams should be allowed to fuel them up and drivers go for it rather than conserving fuel.
    Bring back the fuel stops.
That said, great to see a fresh podium.

I'll give it a 7, because through every corner you could see the car squirming away, the drivers having to manage huge over-steer and really man-handle the thing through bends. None of that with the slot cars of last year.

I love all the new sounds that you can hear now that the engines are quieter. The tyre squeal, the turbo whistle, the roar of the crowd, it's made me more aware of the atmosphere and what it must be like to be at a GP....as one of the SkyF1 presenters said - the sound is more 'nuanced' this year. It's not about sheer volume that drowns out everything else. Lovely to hear the fans roaring and clapping.

Plus, really really impressed by the young guys. Magnussen, Kyvat, Riccardio and Bottas are surely future champs..

As far as on track action (driver battles) was concerned, not the most exciting race to be fair. But all the new elements of the new era really made it interesting.

I'll go 7, thought tempted to go 8. The racing towards the end didn't quite pan out as good as it could have but it was an entertaining race from start to finish. Fantastic to see them having to wrestle the cars every inch around the track.

No donuts spoiled it for me. Only a 5.

No, I enjoyed it. New era and these youngsters are so exciting. There are a few now that you can see being in for the long haul, the next Kimi, Fernando, Webber and Button. I really like Bottas. We saw glimpses last year of his overtaking abilities and skill. Magnusson is a star, that was so impressive especially qualifying.

The cars are amazing. I'm so technolagically dumb but it's a big part of what makes F1 interesting. And what they're doing is such a challenge.

6 - All action before the 1st round of pitstops then it all "quietened" down. Nice result though.
