Muppets Most Wanted is previewing in selected Irish cinemas until tomorrow night. Saw it this morning, didn't think it was as good as the first one but still worth a look.

Im disappointed to hear that. I absolutely love the Muppets but unfortunately their trips to Hollywood have been a real mixed bag. For every masterpiece (a Muppet Christmas Carol) they seem to do about 1 turkey, (Muppets From Space), and the rest are underwhelming at best.

I laughed at times but would be inclined to agree with you on other parts.

Does anyone really like The Muppets (2011)? It was this maudlin slog that totally missed the energy/irreverence that made the Muppets work. I can't imagine it bringing any kids to the franchise. It was just so ****ing dour.

Yeah, me. thought it was fantastic, as did my kids. Im actually surprised to see it spoken of so negatively.

I enjoyed it. Muppet Christmas Carol or Muppet Treasure Island it was not, but it wasn't as horrendously bad as Muppets From Space. Didn't like the title though. "The Muppet Movie", when there was already a "Muppet Movie", not a "Another Muppet Movie"? Considering a central theme was the difference between being a muppet and a man, as in the song lyrics "Am I a muppet, or am I a man?", I thought it would be cool to call it "Of Muppets and Men".

I came out with a strong urge to buy a copy of The Irish Times.

I quite liked it. Not up there with their best, by any means, but I found it enjoyable. I'm not sure how to compare it to the previous film - I definitely found myself laughing at more of the gags, but the musical numbers were utterly forgettable. None of them resonated with me like some of those in the Jason Segal film.

I thought it was excellent, it had a real self parody feel to it without descending into actual parody, and some great songs.

Jason Siegel was missed. Not as good as the previous film, but quite enjoyable nonetheless.

The funniest bits for me were simply when Constantine talked.
