That looks pretty good. My kind of cancelled-after-one-season show!

First 30 minutes or thereabouts are alright, not bad. Has the usual elements you'd expect, the relationships between the characters, a little insight into who they are, betrayal, etc. I expect it'll get more daft with each episode. It's a tad difficult - I'll put this in spoilers even though it's in the trailer -
to care about a bunch of privileged kids being held in pretty comfortable conditions.
I did laugh once or twice, where you're meant to. Mildly intrigued.

Yeah it wasn't too bad, I enjoyed it for what it was. Hopefully it gets a full run (of one season). It's going to rely heavily on twists to keep it interesting, so let's hope they come thick and fast. A few niggles though...

    - No teenager would ever say "F this".
    - The exploding drone would have taken out all surrounding windows.
    - Gillian Anderson and Rachael Taylor as sisters? 16 year age difference so it's a stretch...

The drone made me laugh. There'll probably be 285 moles in the FBI/Secret Service. But hey, brain food.

They will exhaust the story line in one season. The Fx was poor. I will be surprised if there's a season 2.

I half meant to follow just to see how it's going, but haven't. Has anybody?

Episode 3 was a cracker. Dumber than a box of rocks, but great fun. The cops are pretty smart too (which is unusual for a show like this).

    This is coming to TV3.

    Possibly starting Thursday 17th April.

Saving this one for a bit, figure it's the kind of dumb fun that's best enjoyed over a lazy weekend. Doing the same with Intelligence and a few others.

The (probably) last ever Intelligence is on tonight. Lots more story to tell, but hopefully it goes out on a high after last week's cracking episode.

Crisis, when I rad the description, reminded me of another Hostages and after reading this thread I'm fairly sure I called it right. I may save it up for Summer at this rate. I like Gillian Anderson though so she's always worth a watch.

Regarding Intelligence, I think it started out as a show looking like a one season job because of a dumb premise but I'm happy to admit that I called that wrong at the outset. It's actually not that bad and there's more depth there and a wider story than I'd expected. It probably won't come back and I'll be sorry about that. I do want to see more. It's weird. It's probably not quite strong enough to be a successful winter show, but a bit too strong to be a Summer show. Having said that, I dip in and out of Hostages now and I'm amazed this is sticking around for S2. Admittedly they widened the premise along the way too. I jsut think that if Hostages gets another go on the mettry-go-round, Intelligence definitely does as well.

Hostages is pretty much dead in the water. Chances of a second series are incredibly slim, so much so that CBS already hired McDermott for a new pilot.

My bad! Thanks Darko! I had the impression it was renewed. I think it always was a 1 season show anyway so it's good to see sanity prevail! If only that'd have happened for Revenge! :)

Had they let the plan go through as intended then the scope for series 2 would have been huge. You could have a wide reaching conspiracy and look at how the country is being worked over by the new order. Could have been a whole new story with a new cast.

It's pretty decent. I mean, it's got plenty cliches for this situation, hacking, fancy gizmos, lack up of back up when at the scene, kidnappers think of pretty much everything, etc.

They should have the young lad Anton heading the investigation. He's fun. :pac:

Fun fact: Melinda McGraw played Scully's sister on The X Files.

    'Don't call me ma'am'.

Watching this on tv3 now. Nothing special but entertaining enough

I watched this rubbish pilot last night and thought it was pure muck. Cringeworthy acting and truly dire special effects, from the drone to the sequences in the convoy at the start:eek: Far too much cgi used. What's with all the slo mo shots and camera flips(students getting off the bus)? Is that supposed to be cool cinematography  The storyline is descent but it all falls flat on it's face and gets worse as it goes on. No doubt Gillian Anderson's presence will keep x-files fans watching. I definitely won't be tuning in for episode 2.
Worst actor awards to secret service agent who escapes with the kid, yawn, most popular good looking blonde bitchy student and the truly laughable father who is behind everything!

Is Crisis not finishing out the series, as it has been cancelled? It did have bad acting, was very far fetched but I kind of liked it! Would be very disapointed if they don't end it properly :(

Just cos it's on NBC, and I'm not particularly happy with them given some of their recent decisions..

Back on June 1st, as far as I can see. Hopefully it hasn't been pulled with 3 episodes to go...

The episodes will surface somewhere though... eventually.

Double episode finale tonight (apparently). The last episode (11) was brilliant, so looking forward to seeing how it all ends.

For anyone wondering, they finished it properly with no stupid cliffhanger. The last 3 episodes in particular were very strong.

It'll be a good summer binge show for people who've been saving it (but weren't willing to commit in case it was open ended).

    Enjoy!

    Or did it
Where did that last txt go?

No it ended with no cliffhanger it felt a bit rushed but thats fair enough when they new they were getting canned they had to rewrite an ending.

Ah it was a clever little twist at the end that didn't detract from the ending. Made me smile. Gibson was a smart guy with a plan for everything. :)

Started this last night expecting mediocrity but instead got one of the more gripping and thrilling shows in quite some time. The final minutes with the rather haunting cover of Nothing Else Matters was fantastic. Epidode two was equally good, there's a lot going on here and the scope for stories is pretty big. Just a shame that the green screen work is so poor
