Hi it's mine and my fiancees 5th anniversary this June bank holiday weekend and I'm wanting to treat her to something nice. I'm thinking of heading for a weekend away to a top hotel here in Ireland.

Has anyone any recommendations of a luxury hotel here, Preferably a suite with jacuzzi bath and the likes. My limit would be €400 for the two nights.

Something like powerscourt would be nice but thats a bit out of my pricerange.

My other thought was to bring her to paris/rome for the weekend flights and hotel probably work out much the same as the hotel here probably a bit more expensive. Anyone any thoughts?

I don't know where you'd get a suite for under 200 a night. Look out for special offers I suppose, the likes of Mount Juliet, Lyrath Estate and Monart.

What about Waterford Castle? No jacuzzi baths but a wonderful place.

Maryborough Hotel in Cork has spa rooms with a jacuzzi bath in the room. Food in their restaurant is amazing as well.

Have you a minimum travel time from where you live? Are you looking for a city or a country estate removed from everywhere?

Paris and Rome extremely pricey all year round. Somewhere like Tallinn or Prague or Budapest might be worth investigating on your budget.

It is going to be difficult for the budget but take a look at the penthouse suite here between €150-€200/night
