Here are my hand care tools and in the order that I use them. Kerosene and diesel can be very hard on the skin, so look after your hands.

I remember about 30 years ago a plumber that wanted me to do a course and start servicing gas boilers, telling me that I would be wearing a suit and driving around in a BMW. The boilers were so clean that I could wear a suit and, because I could get so many done in a day, I would make enough money to afford the BMW :D

I bought a carton of them at a car-boot sale a few years ago. They last for ever, as the smallest squirt does each time. I don't know where they can be bought, but there must be lots of places that have them. I am sure that mechanics must use them a lot.

I had trouble with gas oil in the early days and started wearing "Marigolds" with the longer sleeves. I never had trouble with screws, or nuts etc., except the smallest wiring - I took them off for control boxes and timers. They could get sweaty on hot days :D

    A R Brownlows .ie Cork
Arrow barrier cream, 1ltr tub lasts for a year (when I used it a lot ) + I always use disposable vinal gloves now.
Best cream ever. I use to suffer from very bad dry hands due to oil and then cleaning out moisture free dirt from boilers. My skin use to have big cracks and drip blood whenever I banged them. + painful.

I haven't had a problem in years, rarely use cream anymore ( 3 times a year ). But whenever I've a skinproblem I plaster on the cream a few times in an hour and let it dry in, leave it on overnight and everything is good.
I tried everything before, vasoline + gloves over night. Nothing worked till I started useing "Arrow" barrier cream.
    Hope this helps.

Hands like a babys bum now.
