I have a voodoo Bantu with 26" wheels. I'm lookIng to upgrade to a better bike. Dealers are telling me 26" wheeled MTBs are going the way of the dodo and 27.5" and 29" are all the rage now... Is that true? 29" look very big for a MTB....

    Thanks

How much do you wanna spend?

Will you be hitting the trails on it, or just getting to the shops and to work?

29er wheels are big and heavy unless you are willing to pay €800 for lighter wheels.

27.5" is the compromise, but honestly you won't notice the difference between that and the 26" unless you are an experienced racer..

you'll probably pick up a good bike within your budget with the 26" wheel too..
