Claiming Dole while doing a dissertatiion?

    hi guys, just wondering if this is possible. I'll be finished the taught part of my masters including exams in may, I will have a dissertation to do over the summer but that entails no more contact hours bar the odd meeting with the adviser. I was wondering is it possible to claim JA or JB while I'm doing this?

    Any info or advice from those who've been in a similar situation is much appreciated. Thanks!

    They'll give you a special form to be signed by the college, which asks if you're carrying out any projects etc, so probably won't be able to

    You can claim a Job seekers payment if your completely free to take up full time employment, and you can prove that your looking for full time employment.
