Called SOS Elverys 700, the campaign is supporting the Elverys management bid, they have committed to save all 700 jobs in the chain, hence the name.;)

Topics like this test my moral fibre :pac:
Because on one hand I am not a begruding dickhead who likes to see people lose their jobs. Its not right and I sympathise (as I am currently unemployed myself)

But then the 'real world' side of me kicks in ... In the sense that does anyone care when someone loses their job? Like people care if it's a family member or a partner or a best friend. But random strangers? .... I think not sadly.

So I always end up thinking the same... fuck em.

Why thank you, and the same to you :pac:
See it's nothing personal... and not to derail the thread but it's dog eat dog out there. No one cares. It's sad... I agree it's not right. But you or I cannot change the world.

If they do succeed in a buyout and pull through they seriously need to revamp their store, stock and business plan.

Their stores use the space terribly, vast empty spaces with poor stock visibilty. The stock itself is just... meh. You hardly ever see advertising from them either.

The only reason I go in there is for dart flights and stems. I could just get these far cheaper online but go in when I'm passing.

They need to jazz the place up a bit and focus more on current sports fashion from recognised brands, like Lifestyle and the rest. I'd go in to browse around and probably buy.

If they pull through somehow they need massive change or will be in the same situation after a while.
