    Hi all,

I am going on an 80km cycle tomorrow and need my girlfriend to pick me up after. Is there a way that she can see my progress live on Strava so as to know when she needs to leave home to pick me up? I have the strava app on my android phone and I am a premium strava member.

Appreciate any advice you can give. Also have the endomondo pro app. Thanks

There was talk of introducing Live Tracking to Strava, but as yet I don't believe it has been introduced. There is a live tracker function with Garmin Connect that never seems to work via Bluetooth to your smart phone, but that is a pile of **** and never works.

What kind of smartphone do you have? I have an iphone and it has never worked for me
I get about 5 mins of Live Tracking and it dies.

Just run Glympse at the same time, make sure your battery holds :-)

I have a HTC. Find the live tracking great.

endomundo does it. If worried about battery just run endo and export it into strava later.

You could try stopping for 1 minute and call her to arrange a time

You could use googles find my phone. Would bring up your location within Google maps

Strava won't include the time where you've stood still when uploading the data so average speed won't really be affected.

In use that while the wife is out cycling to keep an eye on her.

I've seen a few people in my Strava feed who have a 'ride in progress' tab. Havent seen it recently but maybe that's a feature that Strava are working on?

Either way if i'm doing some thing like that I work out an average the route and arrange a pick up time based in that
