Hi, apologies if this is in the wrong place. I received an email I was expecting from a financial institution, the attachment is a secured document, it's my first time to receive one so I had to register with ironport as per the instruction however whenever I try to open it, I get an error message - ACCOUNT NOT ACTIVATED
To open this message your account must first be activated. Please contact the sender for more information.- Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the account to be verified or for them to send me an email for me to verify.

It's very annoying s there isn't anything exciting in the attachment for it to be sent this way.

Much appreciative if antone can help or knows what I'm on about.

Usually with the Ironport it's fairly instantaneous, although I'd check your spam email to see if you got an activation email there (ironic as that may sound). We once had a person who was sending an email outbound in this way, the receiving user registered and their respective version of the Ironport bounced the activation email and was put into their quarantine, so if you don't receive this mail and are behind another mail firewall, you may want to check if it was quarantined there (if it isn't in your spam of course)

The inbuilt encryption on the Ironport is so cumbersome, I really don't understand why they don't enable something fairly widely used and freely available, like TLS (although that in itself is a bit of a nightmare to do on an Ironport).
