hd with upc

    i have my main upc hooked to a full hd tv. i aldo have an additional box in an other room. on this additional set top box i can receive the basic hd channels but not on my main box. would anyone know why?

    Sounds like you have multiroom but to get hd on both you need to have two hd subscriptions, and obviously two hd boxes. If both are hd boxes you can just switch them or ask UPC to switch the hd subscription to the other box.

    HD sub covers multi room I think. Should you have more than one HD box that is.

    That can happen - its' happened to me. Its because my main box is an (SD) DVR but my multi room boxes are HD boxes. OP I assume you are in a similar situation?

    On UPC you have the same subscription on all boxes - there's no such thing as having a HD subscription for just one box. However, if you don't have a HD subscription, but have HD boxes, you can receive PSB HD channels - RTÉ One, RTÉ Two, TG4, BBC One NI, BBC Two, and UTV - on the HD boxes. Obviously you won't receive these on any SD boxes you have.

    thanks icdg that is probaly the reason my main dvr receiver box is sd while the mutliroom receiver is hd.

    i suppose the only way to change that is to go horizon?
